A little bit about us
We created Seahorse Nurseries because we felt children deserved more from their early years education. More opportunity for happy, purposeful play to stimulate children’s brains in this crucial period of early development. More time outdoors, playing sport, getting mucky and learning from nature. And more expertise and experience in those caring for them, to ensure every activity helps each child grow up creative, kind and resilient.
Our story started more than 25 years ago when Julia Wolfe, a young mother and former army Captain, saw the need for higher quality nursery education that gave children a head start in life. The first Seahorse Nursery opened with a clear vision: to help preschool children gain life skills that would form the foundation of their development.
Purposeful play is at the heart of the Seahorse Way. Our unique curriculum blends learning with fun activities, from yoga and cooking to music and tennis lessons. Go wild in the woods at Forest School, learn a little French or try some exciting science experiments – it’s all part of creating a broad educational grounding in these vitally important preschool years. And we support our staff to build rewarding careers in nurseries where every day is different, rewarding and full of laughter.
Our dedication to caring, purposeful play means children leave Seahorse Nurseries with a love of learning and the confidence to meet the world head-on.
