Join the Seahorse team

Working with young children is hugely rewarding. Few careers can offer the sense of achievement you get from helping young children get ready for the lives ahead of them. As a small, family-run business, we recognise, appreciate, and reward the love and dedication that our team deliver daily.

We’re committed to helping people build rewarding careers. Whether this is your first step into a career in Early Years, or you’re already qualified and looking to further your career, at Seahorse Nurseries we’re always looking for brilliant, loving people to join our incredible team.

We pay some of the best salaries in the business and can provide training to attain Level 2 and 3 Early Years qualifications – as well as training Level 5 qualifications in management. Everyone that joins our team is provided with an individually tailored career pathway to ensure they fulfil their potential.

Seahorse apprenticeship programme

We work in partnership with Hawk Training and Parenta to provide a comprehensive apprentice programme to our staff. Most of our staff is eligible for a funded apprenticeship programme, and our Seahorse sponsorship programme is in place for those not eligible for funding. Our managers and education officer will support you throughout your learning, and you will be able to gain valuable hands-on experience. You will also be able to develop your leadership skills with our POD system and boost your confidence with our Key Person system.

Seahorse college programme

We have partnered up with South Thames College in Tooting to deliver Level 2 and 3 diploma qualifications in Early Years, alongside L2 Functional Skills in English and Mathematics (if applicable).

As a Seahorse employee, your place at college will be fully funded, and we will support you with your learning, development, and progression. Your non-working day will fall on the day you have classes, so you’ll always be able to attend your lessons. You will be able to link your theoretical learning at college with first-hand experience with the support of your teachers as well as your leaders and colleagues at Seahorse.

Work Experience

We’re committed to giving back to our community. We offer placements to school students looking for work experience, college students needing a long-term placement – you’re likely to receive a job offer from us for once qualified – and people who are studying for specific qualifications who need experience with babies. We also support couples needing experience for their adoption process, and those exploring whether they want to move into Early Years.
