Events and Participation

Parents support learning during other nursery events such as Food Bank donations during Harvest Festival, dressing up for Halloween and Christmas parties, helping their child choose a favourite book for World Book Day, creating an Easter Bonnet for our annual parade and walking to Nursery during Walk to School Week.

We hold regular events, including Grandparents Stay and Play, Christmas Grotto with Santa, Sports Day, Father’s Day Breakfast and School Leavers’ Graduation. They’re a great way to welcome parents and the broader Seahorse community. If you celebrate additional festivals or observe any cultural or religious periods, please feel free to speak to a member of our team.

We love introducing parents and family members to our children: a grandmother who cycled around the world, rode to the nursery to tell us her story; and a father who is a captain in the Navy dressed in full diving gear and visited with a treasure chest full of goodies. Several Scandinavian mothers visited us in their full national costume, with delicious food to sample and songs to sing; and another mother brought in her violin, played for us and helped the children to make music themselves. Why not come and read a story, lead a craft activity or run a workshop? Our team will be on hand to support you and the children are a very enthusiastic audience!
